It has been four months since the world has been locked down in a pandemic. These four months seem like forever to me. Each day melts into the next one and I must check my calendar to find out what day it is. In fact, I wished a friend of mine a happy birthday a month before his actual birthday because I got the month confused.
Usually, I am on top of everything in my life and work. But I have lost my main source of income in the entertainment industry. The last four months have been an eye opener, after almost 37 years of throwing myself headfirst into a career that is not only a passion but the driving force in my life. Then it just stopped on March 15, 2020.
There is a glimmers of hope that my career may be able to be salvaged in some form. My colleagues and myself are living with an uncertainly like never before. I always new that being an entertainer was a crap shoot at best. My world was stripped down to its shaky foundation.
Since my teen years I have been dabbling in photography first as a hobby and then to make some extra income. After a few weeks of self reflection and trying to figure out how to survive the pandemic & beyond, I decided to put up this website
It is very scary for me to get out of my comfort level, and have my photos exposed to the world. I am a very private person, but if there is a time to take a chance and expand my horizons it is now. It took me all of April 2020 to go through my photographs, and then a month to design this website
The website was launched on May 31, 2020, I have been advertising on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. This project has been inspiring and frustrating at the same time. But I will persist with my dogged determination and hopefully build a little business out of my passion for photography.
Enjoy the nice weather and make some new memories! #SummerMemories #TorontoPhotography
