Throughout my photo journey, I bought good cameras but not the latest and greatest. Personally, I believe it is better to invest in better lenses then blow your whole budget on a camera with all the bells and whistles.

Compact camera sales drop by 60% yet the prices are rising. Part of the drop in compact camera sales is that sector of photography has been replaced by smartphone cameras. These smartphones feature multiple lenses, 50MP sensors and impressive shooting modes such as portrait, wide-angle and macro. Since the demand for compact cameras is falling, the ones that remain are becoming scarce – hence the increase in cost. Keep in my part of the drop in sales and rising costs could be cause by the

world-wide shortage of computer chips.
